Biography:
EGOpicks is extremely proud to welcome Western Canadian Music Hall of Famers – Harlequin – into our line-up of EGOmaniacs!

Harlequin’s roots began as a Canadian circuit band in early 1979. The debut album “Victim of a Song” was produced by Jack Douglas, who’d previously worked with the likes of Cheap Trick, Patty Smith, Aerosmith and John Lennon. Harlequin has achieved Canadian Platinum and Gold status on releases. Harlequin has had radio hits with “Innocence,” “Thinking Of You,” “Superstitious Feeling,” “I Did It For Love,” and consistent airplay with “No Mystery,” “Sweet Things In Life,” “You Are The Light”, “Survive” and more recently “Rise” and “Shine On”. Harlequin has extensively toured the U.S, South America and Canada and still receives international royalty payments from as far as Japan.
Harlequin’s lineup is fronted by original singer/songwriter George Belanger. George is joined by Derrick Gottfried on guitar, Darren Moore on guitar and keyboards, Nik Rivers on bass and AJ Chabidon on drums. The vocal strength of the band is unrivaled; Darren, Derrick, and Nik also step out on lead vocals at shows and on albums, sharing the vocal spotlight with George.
Unlike many bands of their era, Harlequin is still a staple of rock radio in many parts of the world, where the band’s hits still receive remarkable amounts of airplay. Fueled by this continued success, the band still tours – playing arenas, festivals, theaters and other venues, gaining new fans all the time.
“Extremely fast turn around time and great quality! We’ll definitely be back….”
—Darren Moore – Harlequin
