Biography:
With an entire community behind him, as well as a nation of well-wishers and his own personal band of “Teen Angels”, guitar enthusiast Andrew Kippley fought Childhood Neuroblastoma Cancer with a positive attitude, and a courageous spirit that anyone could admire.
Andrew lost his battle on September 29, 2009 at the tender age of 16.
SPECIAL doesn’t even begin to describe the incredibly warm and giving heart that this teen possessed. His kindness was felt by many. Andrew even unselfishly forwarded the monetary value of his wish from the Make A Wish Foundation to a Minnesota Christian group, so the funds could instead help others long after he was gone.
Andrew, and his devoted middle school music teacher, Randall Ferguson, were the inspiration behind our Awareness Ribbon EGOpicks Image, which we hope will help to raise awareness and funding for Neuroblastoma, and other childhood and adult illnesses. Andrew was one of EGOpicks’ first EGOmaniacs and it will always be an honour and a privilege to include Andrew as an ULTRA-special EGOmaniac!
KEEP ROCKIN’ ANDREW!!!

Luckiest Man Alive – by Andrew Kippley
How lucky is a man to be
When he can turn sadness to glee.
And brush off his shoulders despite
Any kind of fearful fight
Such a man can witness rain
And feel not an inch of pain
But look past the doom and gloom
And see a chance for flowers to bloom
Such a person can see a storm
And watch as the dark clouds form
Yet just sit and watch because he knows
It’s only time till the rainbow shows
Such a person can suffer a loss
And be the one to pay the cost
But know they’re in a better place.
And walk back into life’s embrace
It’s a fact that he who sees
Just how bright things can be
Is the only one who can boast
he has lived life the most.
Brighter Side of Things - by Andrew Kippley
Buck up little soldier
Today might be colder.
But its time like these you have to say
Tomorrow is another day.
Don’t kick yourself while you’re down
What is lost can be found
Just take the time to go and seek.
Your reward is at the peak.
Remember, it’s always darkest before the dawn
When the drummer quits, let the beat go on
And when all your rights seem to go wrong.
Just remember this, and stay strong.
